Australian yellowtail kingfish farmer Clean Seas Seafood, the largest producer of the species outside of Japan, increased its sales revenue during its latest financial quarter thanks to what the company said is a growing global appetite for the fish.

The company reported revenue of AUD 16.1 million (€10 million/$10 million) for the first fiscal quarter of 2022, which is 6 percent higher compared to the corresponding quarter the year prior.

Strong demand and an absence of surplus frozen inventory drove prices up 34 percent to AUD 21.78
