Netherlands-based breeding company Hendrix Genetix is expanding its global shrimp breeding activities into Indonesia with the formation of a new company, PT Kona Bay Indonesia.
The company plans to establish a broodstock multiplication center. Beginning in early 2021, Indonesian shrimp hatcheries will be able to source high quality, specific pathogen free (SPF) broodstock reared locally at the facility.
Hendrix Genetics’ shrimp breeding activities are known under the name of Kona Bay.
