Greenland’s government is working with the Danish government to implement changes to its current feed regulations.

Greenland is updating its policies on feed in order to enhance its fishmeal and fish oil export opportunities. The changes would make it possible to utilize more of the catch and enhance sustainability efforts.

Several Greenlandic trawlers can already produce fishmeal and fish oil but due to a gap in regulation it is currently being wasted, Uffe Sveegaard, lawyer at the government of Greenland, Naalakkersuisut, told IntraFish.
