Maine's Department of Marine Resources (DMR) is considering an application to farm sea scallops on a 3.8-acre experimental aquaculture lease in East Penobscot Bay, where Robert Brewer plans to grow scallops on suspended ropes, according to a story in The Ellsworth American.
DMR has opened a 30-day comment period, through June 19, for the application.
