Ultimately, the company aims to produce 8,500 metric tons of yellowtail from the land-based facility.

Land-based yellowtail farmer The Kingfish Company is preparing to start the construction phase for its new farm in Maine.

In November, the company gained final state government approvals and subsequently announced land purchase agreements for its new facility in Jonesport, Maine.

The Kingfish Company already has a producing land-based site in the Netherlands.
