Operations at French processor Halieutis have restarted following a fire late on Tuesday night at its Lorient plant in northwestern France.

The incident happened when an industrial fryer caught fire, Le Telegramme reported.

All of the company's 39 workers were safely evacuated with no one reported injured.

IntraFish was unable to reach the company for comment at the time of writing.

Halieutis was aquired by Cite Marine, the French supplier of private-label, breadcrumb-coated fish products in 2017.
