First ever case of pathogenic ISA suspected in farmed salmon in Iceland

If the current diagnosis is confirmed, it will be the first time that a pathogenic variant of the ISA virus has been found in farmed salmon in Iceland.

The ISA virus was detected during autopsy and sampling following increasing unexplained mortalities in a particular pen belonging to Laxa Fiskeldis.
