Singapore-based Barramundi Asia's processing plant recently earned BAP certification, the first to do so in Singapore.
The barramundi is raised in sea cages off Pulau Semakau Island, south of the main island of Singapore.
Barramundi Asia also operates a nursery in the area.
At the end of 2017, there were 1,850 BAP-certified facilities, of which 10 are barramundi farms and five are barramundi hatcheries and nurseries.
