The volume and value of Ecuador's shrimp exports rose sharply in November, as the country heads toward a new export record, figures from Ecuador's Camara Nacional de Acuacultura (CNA) trade body show.

Volumes rose 40 percent against the same month a year earlier to 135.2 million pounds, while the value of those consignments climbed 36 percent to $364.3 million.

In November, exports by value in the first 11 months of last year moved past the total for the whole of 2018, after volume exports did likewise in October.
