1931 Ewos first registered in Sweden. Founders are Erik Berggren, Victor Weyde and Olle Sjostedt. Their initials formed the company name.

1935 Acquired by Swedish pharmaceutical company Astra - regarded as the official first year in Ewos's history. Business focused on feed additives for agriculture.

1949 Norsk Landbrukskjemi, later known under the name Ewos AS, is established as the first subsidiary, outside Sweden.

1957 Ewos receives an enquiry to supply vitamin premixes for fish. The breeding of salmon fry for stocking, so-called 'compensatory fry' is compulsory for Baltic Sea states as the development of hydro-electric production facilities makes natural spawning in rivers difficult for the fish.
