The European fisheries sector, represented by Europeche and the European Association of Fisheries Producer Organizations (EAPO), met with the EU Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries to discuss the need to adopt urgent measures to safeguard the sector in light of sharp increases in energy and logistics prices.

“For months the sector has been facing a difficult economic situation. Now, fuel prices are reaching an all-time high," Europeche President Javier Garat said at the meeting.
