EU seaweed seed producer Hortimare received a major boost to operations, with family-owned Dutch group De Groot en Slot Beheer taking a majority stake in the company.
Hortimare Managing Director Jan de Vries said the new stake will allow the group to further develop the company and its operations.
Hortimare was founded in 2008, and is today the most advanced supplier of seeds to the developing EU seaweed sector, the company said.
