Denmark-based Sashimi Royal, a sister company to Nordic Aquafarms, has received Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification.
Sashimi Royal of Hanstholm is the largest yellowtail kingfish land-based facility in the European Union.
"ASC certification is the gold standard for fish farming and represents a major commitment
to best practices and sustainability,” said Erik Heim, president of Nordic Aquafarms, the
US subsidiary of Nordic Aquafarms, which Heim founded and served as CEO before moving
to the United States earlier this year to oversee the company’s expansion there.
