The Court of Appeals of Punta Arenas in Chile, has upheld a fine against Nova Austral and added further sanctions against the company, as punishment for providing unreliable information about the mortalities of its farming centers in the Magallanes region.

The appeal court determined that the 3,000 UTM fine – the equivalent of CLP 152.9 million (€175,207/$215,229) -- established in a first instance ruling, is now added to the suspension of the production cycle of the Aracena 3 farming center, owned by the company.
