Cooke Aquaculture began removing hundreds of dead salmon from its Liverpool Bay site March 13 due to the effects of severe cold weather, reports Lighthouse Now.
Cooke Communications VP Joel Richardson said that the deaths are part of doing business.
"We are removing approximately 2-3 percent of our total fish stock that are there, which is actually a very low number," he said in an interview with the local newspaper.
