Chilean salmon producer Salmones Camanchaca has signed a long-term contract with live fish transport company Naviera Orca Chile for the exclusive use of a new wellboat.
The vessel, which can transport more than 400 metric tons of live salmon, is being built in Norway.
It is expected to arrive in Chile by the end of 2021 and will be immediately put into service to transport fish and to work in sea lice removal operations.
