An operation to remove salmon affected by an infectious salmon anemia (ISA) outbreak at a production site belonging to a joint venture between Salmones Austral's Trusal and Nova Austral has been completed.

Chile's National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) so far hasn't said how many fish were removed from the site.

However, the outbreak at the Navarro 3 site bordering the Magallanes and Antarctic regions of Chile is originally reported to have affected fish in two of the company's cages which together held around 172,311 salmon, with an average weight of 430.4
