Chile’s National Service of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sernapesca) said Cermaq Chile fully harvested its Magallanes Canal Bertrand salmon site, which was hit by an outbreak of infectious salmon anaemia (ISA) earlier this month.

Sernapesca said the harvest and the transport of salmon from the affected site were conducted under strict biosecurity measures, and that the outbreak did not cause any salmon mortalities.

The harvested fish were transported to processing plants in Los Lagos and Magallanes.
