Marbase, the company owned by Norwegian aquaculture expert Bjorn Apeland and Newfoundland-based private-equity firm Pluto Investments, is stuck in legal limbo regarding its proposed full-scale service center to combat sea lice in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) salmon farms.

NL's Environment Minister Derrick Bragg is asking Marbase for more information in a full environmental preview report, the CBC reports. The department has 60 days to send Marbase a guideline for the report, and Marbase has three years to file a full report.
