Nova Scotia seafood businesses and fishermen are getting more than CAD 44 million ($34.5 million/€28.6 million) for innovation, sustainability, infrastructure and science partnerships.

Eleven projects are receiving money from the government-sponsored Atlantic Fisheries Fund. The projects are "focused on the adoption of new technology and partnerships that will improve the effectiveness and sustainability of the fish and seafood sector," according to the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
