Chilean salmon produce Camanchaca, and feed giants BioMar and Skretting have signed an agreement aimed at promoting the highest sustainability standards in aquaculture feed and production practices.

The agreement requires action on issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, the use of raw materials that have not impacted native forests through deforestation and the use of renewable energy.

The move comes amid raised awareness levels among consumers about the impact on the environment.

Under the agreement with Camanchaca, BioMar and Skretting have agreed to advance steadily and proactively the management of environmental and social risks associated with the producer's value chain.
