Brazilian tilapia producer GeneSeas expects to process 33 percent more fish in 2020, amid growing demand and despite reduced availability of fish in South America's largest nation.

"We are in the middle of February and the market has heated up," GeneSeas CEO Roberto Haag told IntraFish.

Faced with oversupply in the second half of 2018 and the opening six months of last year, producers found themselves handling too many fish.
