Brazilian tilapia and native species producer Mar e Terra has been acquired from Grupo Axial by tilapia farmer Paturi Piscicultura.
The development reported by the Segundo Diario news website was confirmed to IntraFish by Brazilian aquaculture trade body Peixe BR.
Mar e Terra is based in the central west state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
The company was founded in 2003, and produces pirarucu, pintado and tambaqui, as well as tilapia.
