The Brazilian shrimp industry says China's recent banning of Ecuadorian shrimp imports is evidence enough to justify the re-imposition of a block on imports of the crustacean from the neighboring South American country.

In an emailed update calling on the Brazilian government to reimpose its ban, Brazilian producers association ABCC highlighted the risk of shrimp affected by white spot and yellow head disease.
