Benchmark's advanced nutrition division Inve aquaculture added two lines to its set of artemia technologies.
The company has been producing artemia cysts for more than three decades for supply to fish hatcheries, where artemia is an essential feed resource.
Inve included SMArt in its portfolio, a new technology for cysts to hatch in the dark to sway decreased hatching performance driven by lower light exposure.
The second new product is D-FENSE, a built-in protection coating to mitigate bacteria growth such as vibrio during the hatching for better larval survival and reduced contamination risks.
