Aquaculture genetics, health and nutrition firm Benchmark's much-touted new sea lice treatment has received marketing authorization from the Norwegian Medicines Agency (NoMA), moving it one step closer to commercial rollout in the world’s largest salmon producing nation.
Ectosan Vet -- product code name BMK08 -- will be the first sea lice veterinary medicinal treatment to be introduced to the Norwegian salmon market in over a decade.
The granting of the marketing authorization is a major milestone and step forward for Benchmark.
