Benchmark-owned Akvaforsk Genetics Center AS and SalmoBreed AS have merged to establish Benchmark Genetics Norway AS.
"To create an even stronger organization, we have merged the group's two Norwegian genetics companies," said Benchmark Genetics CEO Jan-Emil Johannessen. "This strategic move also strengthens our position in the Norwegian and international markets.
The merged company has 36 employees and all the employees concerned will remain in their positions in the merged entity.
"Our objective is to be at the forefront of R&D in genetics for the aquaculture industry.
