Forcefully mandating a five-year transition from ocean net pen salmon farming to land-based production is "unachievable, and will lead to stagnation and significant unemployment in the British Columbia salmon farming industry," the head of the BC Salmon Farmers Association (BCSFA) said Tuesday.
