Oslo-listed Atlantic Sapphire is on track with its land-based salmon production at the Miami Bluehouse, and last week transferred the first batch of salmon into the third stage of the freshwater circuit: the parr or fingerling phase.

The company also received and stocked the third batch of eggs into the hatchery, said Johan Andreasson, CEO of Atlantic Sapphire.

At the moment, there are 1.6 million salmon in the Miami site. The company plans to move smolts to the seawater tanks for the first time in the summer.
