Atlantic Sapphire snags Marine Harvest exec for new aquaculture director role

Land-based salmon producer Atlantic Sapphire told stockholders on Tuesday it hired Mario Palma as its new director of aquaculture.

"Palma has an extensive background from land-based aquaculture and comes from a position in Marine Harvest as Water Recirculation Engineer and Biocontrol," said the company.

His background is complimentary to the existing leadership team and will execute on Atlantic Sapphire's business plan to sustain its position as the world leader in land based salmon farming, said Atlantic Sapphire CEO Johan Andreassen.
