Land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire produced 300 metric tons of head-on, gutted (HOG) fish in the second quarter at its Bluehouse site in Miami, the company said in an update on Thursday.

The harvest brought the total for the first six months of the year at the Florida site to 721 metric tons.

The company has not provided guidance regarding its expectation for total production in 2021, but in its 2020 annual report it said it ultimately expected to able to produce around 9,500 metric tons annually following the completion of Phase 1 construction, which is now finished.
