Land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire has dropped Danish recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology supplier Billund Aquaculture as its main supplier for the second phase of development of its facilities in Miami, the latest shakeup on a project that has been beset by a string of problems in recent months.

Speaking during a company presentation on Thursday afternoon, Atlantic Sapphire CEO Johan Andreassen said Billund would not be participating in it's Phase 2 plan.

"If it does, then it will only be a small part," Andreassen said.
