The sea lice treatment deltamethrin is highly toxic to lobster larvae, according to a team at Norway's Institute of Marine Research.
Concern over whether pesticides from fish farms are a danger to non-target species is not new, but this latest round of published research found the plume of chemicals deltamethrin generates typically spreads out over 5 to 15 kilometers in the water after application.
