Akva's land-based subsidiary has signed an engineering and design contract with Norway-based Ecofisk, which was recently granted a license to produce 40,000 metric tons of land-based salmon in its recirculating aquaculture facility in Rogaland, Norway.
Ecofisk will kick off with a land-based growout facility of 5,000 metric tons in Espevik, Norway, for which Akva is contracted as the preferred supplier.
