Chilean agro-giant group Agrosuper is now the world’s second largest salmon farmer and Chile’s largest salmon farmer by far following the acquisition of AquaChile on Monday.

Effectively, the company plans to merge the operations of four Chilean salmon farming companies into the country’s largest salmon conglomerate.

Earlier this year, AquaChile announced the acquisition of Salmones Magallanes for $259 million (€224.5 million), which was finalized last week.
