A small group of activists are protesting the inclusion of GM salmon producer AquaBounty at this week's International Symposium on Aquatic Animal Health (ISAAH) on Prince Edward Island (PEI).

Land-based salmon farmer AquaBounty is listed as a corporate sponsor on the event's website. The company operates a production facility in Rollo Bay, PEI.

“Our message to [scientists at the symposium] is do not give any credence to AquaBounty and what it tries to tell you during the next four or five days," one of the protesters was quoted as saying in The Guardian.
