Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost unveiled plans to build a new biogas plant to produce energy and fertilizer using waste products from fish and dairy farming.
The move is aimed at consolidating the company's sustainable feed policy as it publishes a two-year sustainability plan.
It comes after Bakkafrost, which employs 1,100 people in the Faroe Islands, opened one of the world's most modern processing plants there.
