Pink salmon harvest forecast in Prince William Sound slightly smaller for 2024

A lower harvest could be good news for Alaska salmon producers who last year struggled with excess inventories and weak markets.

The projected Prince William Sound commercial harvest of 20.53 million fish is less than half of the 46.28 million fish harvested in 2023.
