Former Mowi CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog has invested in electric boat manufacturer Evoy and joined the company as a member of the board.

Aarskog said the potential reduction in maintenance time and fuel costs will make Evoy's vessels attractive.

Evoy CEO and co-founder Leif Stavostrand said Aarskog's expertise will be "invaluable" as the company builds up for international expansion. Evoy has received investments from government accelerator Innovasjon Norge, and recently completed a NOK 8.5 million (€780,000/$850,000) share issue. It's unclear how much of the share issue Aarskog acquired.

Last week, Mowi announced Aarskog would join the company's board of directors.
