Boston-based Stavis Seafood has agreed to pay $700,000 (€615,000) as part of a settlement for an accident that led to the death of a worker in 2016.

The payment is part of the company's settlement with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), according to the Boston Globe.

In March 2016, a pipe in the company's cold storage warehouse burst and leaked 2,100 pounds of ammonia, leading to the death of the employee.
