Norwegian farmed salmon prices were flat in week 19, dropping by only NOK 0.44 (€0.04/$0.05) per kilo -- or less than a percent -- on average over the week, according to the latest figures from Nasdaq.

The average price per kilo during the week was NOK 59.11 (€6/$6.8) per kilo.

Prices are up 7.6 percent per kilo on average compared with three months ago. Prices, however, declined 11.46 percent or NOK 7.65 (€0.78/$0.87) per kilo, compared with a month ago, said Nasdaq.

Prices in all major weight classes were also flat.

The most popular size during the week was 4-5 kilograms -- accounting for 32.8 percent of the market share -- was selling at an average price of NOK 59.72 (€6.1/$6.8) per kilo, a NOK 1.11 (€0.11/$0.13) drop compared to last week.

The second most popular size was 3-4 kilograms, accounting for 25.53 percent of the total market and traded at NOK 56.69 (€5.8/$6.5), down NOK 1.66 (€0.17/$0.19) from the week prior.
