Yellowtail kingfish farmer The Kingfish Company has appointed Kees Kloet to the newly created role of chief technology officer as part of plans to expand the executive committee set up.

Currently chief operating officer, Kloet, a founding partner, will focus on the development of the company's next generation RAS technology.

Among its other C-suite shifts, the land-based producer has initiated a search for a chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

Ohad Maiman will remain as CEO as the firm re-aligns the focus areas for the various management team roles.

As part of the changes the Kingfish Company's management board is being renamed the executive committee.

In January The Kingfish Company secured a €10 million ($11 million) bridge loan from Dutch lending giant Rabobank to continue development of its Netherlands-based facility.
