Global aquaculture genetics firm Benchmark Genetics has appointed Andrew Cree Preston to the position of RAS technical manager, global, the company announced Tuesday.

Preston joins from AquaMaof Aquaculture Technologies, where he was head of aquaculture production and operations.

Preston has solid experience in aquaculture, both in terms of commercial farming and academic research.

He has been at AquaMaof since 2017 in different roles, including as its research and development (R&D) manager responsible for the operation and development of RAS production.

Melingen added that Preston will be able to add useful knowledge and experience to the land-based aquaculture industry, thereby helping to strengthen the company's position as a leading supplier of genetics to this segment of the industry.
