Animal breeding technology company Hendrix Genetics has appointed Antoon van den Berg as its new chief executive officer (CEO), replacing Jolanda van Haarlem who is leaving the company.

Van den Berg was previously CEO of the company for 16 years, from the foundation of Hendrix Genetics in 2005 until May 2021.

He will now step down from the supervisory board of the group. Former Nutreco CEO Wout Dekker will join the board in his place.

During her tenure, Van Haarlem played an instrumental role for the company, bringing Paine Schwartz Partners on board as new shareholder and formulating the company's business strategy.
