Netherlands-based vaccine producer Vaxxinova has appointed Matias del Campo as managing director of both its Norwegian and Chilean operations.
Until May, Del Campo was managing director for two years at Benchmark Genetics in Chile.
Prior to this he held a similar position at the Aquaculture Technology Centre (ATC) in Patagonia.
Vaxxinova is part of the EW Group. Based in Visbek, Germany, EW Group is a family-owned holding company with more than 120 subsidiaries in over 30 countries.
The core business of the group is animal breeding, animal nutrition and animal health.
EW Group employs more than 9,000 people worldwide. Over the last 10 years the group expanded into the aquaculture sector and includes companies like AquaGen, Aquabel, GenoMar Genetics and Vaxxinova.
In April, the group acquired tilapia genetics group AquaPorto/AquaAmerica.
