New York-based Acme Smoked Fish announced Tuesday it appointed Teresa Low as its new chief marketing officer at the company.

Low brings more than 20 years of experience building global brands for Fortune 500 companies, according to Acme.

In the new role at Acme, Low will lead strategic marketing initiatives for the brand as it continues to expand.

The company plans to start construction this year for a major expansion to allow for more processing area at its Brooklyn factory, as well as office space and a retail area.

Low joins Acme Smoked Fish from Winebow, a leading fine wine and spirits importer and distributor where she was the senior vice president of marketing and public relations. She also spent more than a decade at The Hershey Company, where she held various leadership roles across global marketing, innovation and business management.

Low holds an MBA in marketing from the Haworth School of Business at Western Michigan University.
