Young's Seafood CEO Bill Showalter stepped down as a director of the company on July 4, according to a Companies House statement published Tuesday.

A separate notification following the announcement said Michael Kamiel Jan Alfons was appointed a director on the same day.

These developments came shortly after the acquisition of Young's by CapVest-owned UK pork processor Karro Food Group at the start of July.

At the time of the acquisition, Karro CEO Di Walker was appointed CEO of the new group, and Showalter continues to be CEO of Young's.
