UK salmon smoker MacKnight Limited is changing its name to Grants Oak Smoked Ltd., as the company hopes to offload its US operations by the end of January.
UK-based MacKnight Holdings Limited, is the holding company of MacKnight Limited and Grants Smokehouse, both based in the United Kingdom. It operates as The MacKnight Food Group in the United States -- the part of the business it is in the process of selling.
The company is "going back to its roots," MacKnight CEO Jonathon Brown told IntraFish.
