Mitsubishi-owned Princes Tuna, has completed an agreement to create an expanded tuna processing operation in the Indian Ocean region.
The UK-based food and drink group confirmed Monday it has integrated one of its subsidiaries, Princes Tuna (Mauritius) with the second largest tuna processor on the island, Thon des Mascareignes (TdM).
The result is a company that will operate two processing sites and generate around $400 million (€356.1 million) in annual sales.
All employees will be transferred to the new operation on completion of the transaction, said the company in a statement.
