The defense of former Pescanova President Manuel Fernandez de Sousa is appealing against the requests asked for the fiscal appointment in the initial trial conducted by judge Jose de la Mata, reports La Voz de Galicia.

He is accused of falsification of economic and financial information, falsification of annual accounts, use of relevant information, fraud, falsehood in commercial document, obstruction of the work of the supervisory bodies and lifting of assets, all of those alleged charges accepted by the defense, but also of punishable insolvency, a charge the legal team deemed “surprising and unsustainable.”
